Sound format This is how you store audio files. The audio files that are commonly used are mp3, WAV, and AIFF, each having a different use. Pros and cons of mp3 – One pro of an mp3 is that it is a small file size which makes it easy store and share them as they are compressed. However due to this some of the audio quality can get lost during the compression which is a con. Pros and cons of WAV – One pro of using WAV is that it is high quality due to the files not being compressed which means they hold the original audio data. However, one con is that the file takes up a lot of storage space due to it being a large file. rationale
Rationale – I have chosen to do “They’re Watching” as I believe this storyline will spread awareness to the younger audience. This is because it is about the dangers of utilising social media and how it can lead to such scenarios such as stalking. When creating my drama, I will utilise different sound effects to establish the setting of each scene as well as to create tension and engagement. To create this sound effect is easy as I am able to create them inside preventing me to have to travel. Furthermore, I will be incorporating background music in different scenes of my radio drama based of the atmosphere.
developed initial ideas
Developed initial idea – One of my ideas is a radio drama is about a stalking scenario. It will be about a high school girl who begins to get messages from a random number during school hours. She ignores these messages till she gets home and replies to them and realise this person knows of her existence but won’t say who they are. She took this situation as a joke which led to her just blocking the number. Due to this, something so little turning into something big. This is because this person begins to threaten her and her loved one which turns into something tragic. It will end on a cliff hanger for audience to find out what happens in the next episode. I will be utilising a variety of background music to establish the environment. I will also be using a variety of sound effects such as pictures being taken. Sound format This is how audio is stored. When storing my audio sounds, I will be utilising an mp3. this is because an mp3 is easy to use as well as I am able to travel with it. Furthermore, an mp3 ensure that the sound quality of the audio is clear and efficient allowing my audience to hear clearly. When downloading the file, it will be quick as it is a smaller file. Storage method To store my end product, I will be using cloud storage as it will allow me access my files from anywhere which means I can utilise my work in different areas of the world. Furthermore, cloud storage is a safer alternative as it ensures security to my files if something was to happen. Compression This reduces the size of files such as images, audio and video content. The compression I will be utilising is DRC. This is because it allows me to adjust the audio sound to how I want it allowing specific parts of my audio to be louder or quieter depending on my requirement.

How did you find the radio show Most of the interviewees thought the radio drama was interesting. This is because of the storyline. 2 of the other interviewees thought it was nerve wracking and realistic. This is because of how the plot is seen as a normal everyday occurrence for some people. What was your favourite part of the radio drama 2 people agreed that their favourite part of the drama was the anonymous characters scenes. This is because this character is the reason why the plot built up and created tension. The 2 other interviewees gave different answers such as the intensity of the story line and the narration of it. analysis of first draft
In the beginning of my draft we hear an introduction from the main character, Jaqueline, who is explaining what type of person she is and emphasizing that she is till at school. This is important as it establishes to the audience who the main character is and where the scenario is going to be based of her introduction. This will prevent any further confusion on when the story begins and allow the listeners to understand the main character better. Throughout the radio drama we have dialogue between the main character as well as other characters such as her friends from school who are apart of the main storyline as well as someone called anonymous.
